Taylor West

Taylor West is a consumer-centric CMO at Amplēo who has driven marketing transformation across innovative consumer products brands in the food, packaged goods, retail, DTC e-commerce, and renewable energy industries.  He brings particular expertise in helping brands with an organic, natural, and sustainable focus to drive ambitious growth that disrupts entrenched incumbents by leveraging purpose-driven missions and fostering raving fans.

Before joining Amplēo in 2023, Taylor led marketing at Sunrun where he drove a revamp across brand, digital, consumer insights, customer experience, product marketing, and organizational structure.  Previously, he held marketing leadership roles at General Mills on the Pillsbury, Green Giant, Progresso, Totino’s, Cascadian Farm, and Muir Glen brands.  He won the General Mills Champions Award in 2014 for leadership in sustainability on the Cascadian Farm Organic brand after creating the comprehensive Bee Friendlier pollinator preservation program.

Taylor moved to Utah in 2015 to lead marketing for the emerging Kodiak Cakes brand, where he revamped their product innovation, analytics, branding, recruiting, investor pitch, and sales marketing support, helping them triple sales in 18 months.  At KT Tape he drove double-digit growth by overhauling product innovation, social media, and e-commerce.  Taylor later served as General Manager of the climbOn skincare business, expanding their compostable packaging innovation and gaining major distribution wins and e-commerce sales growth. 

He has also started two businesses of his own.  Taylor launched the Father Time Bread DTC e-commerce brand that shipped to customers in 29 states within its first 10 months.  And more recently he created Honeycomb Quill, a marketing services firm that provides quality content writing for brands to elevate their consumer communications.

Taylor serves as a fractional CMO for multiple brands across the country.  He relishes working with ambitious business owners driven by a noble purpose for positive social impact to re-invent categories and leapfrog giants with refreshing brands that redefine their category.
