Sapan Thakore is a Controller at Amplēo who has served domestic and multinational clients in the public and private sectors, with experience in industries including intellectual property litigation, software & technology, manufacturing, financial services, and other professional services.

Before becoming a consultant at Amplēo in 2021, Sapan worked 9 years in various roles at Grant Thornton, LLP supervising and managing various integrated and private company audits (under U.S. GAAP, U.K. GAAP, & IFRS), including a secondment with Grant Thornton UK, LLP in London. He has extensive experience with purchase accounting, income tax provisions, and SOX compliance. Over the last several years, he has specialized in assisting clients with various state and local tax issues, specifically indirect tax, including taxability of transactions, nexus studies, exposure analyses, voluntary disclosure agreements, tax planning/minimization strategies, systems implementations, due diligence, and ongoing compliance.

Prior to his experience at Grant Thornton, he implemented document management software across 18 different offices at a private national demolition company. Sapan is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
