Kent Thomas founded Amplēo in 1996 when he noticed a rapidly growing need for outsourced CFO work. Through the years, he served as the outsourced CFO of over 80 different businesses. Kent has since retired and enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Before retiring, Kent served as the advisor or Acting CFO of several businesses and as a member of the board of directors of Red Sky Solutions, Stokes Family Properties, and the MountainWest Capital Network. He also was a founding member of the Olympus Angel Investors and active in the Utah entrepreneurial community where he advised companies, associations, and educational institutions. Kent is a frequent speaker on finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship. Kent also served as the President of the Utah Association of CPAs during 2013-14.
