Greg Boden
CFO

Greg Boden is a seasoned CFO at Amplēo who is skilled in managing companies traded in the public markets or preparing a company for an IPO or a reverse merger into a public company. This experience comes through his role as a public company CFO for 10 years, during which he oversaw all SEC reporting, accounting, finance, human resources, legal, and operations for the company.

Before becoming a consultant at Amplēo, Greg worked in venture capital for over 12 years as the president of three firms focused on renewable energy, technology, and health tech startups that are either publicly traded or planning a listing. This experience allows him to guide companies through the process of an uplist, a merge, or merely completing an audit. Greg also taught courses at the University of California, Santa Barbara, including financial statement analysis, managerial accounting, and intermediate accounting.

Greg is skilled in US GAAP, as well as IFRS, technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and disguised equity (ASC 480), and is able to translate mundane accounting policies into easy-to-understand explanations for management.

Greg got his start in the industry in the audit practice of KPMG in Denver. As an auditor with KPMG, he became familiar with accounting and financial reporting within technology, oil & gas, financial services, higher ed, real estate, and manufacturing companies. More importantly, he came to understand the mindset of the auditor, which is valuable for companies going through an audit.
