Bob Baker is a CFO at Ampleo focusing on restaurants and other multi-location businesses. Bob is a restaurant industry veteran, having worked for a variety of restaurant companies including both company and franchise operations. Bob has experience with both large multi-unit restaurant companies as well as smaller, high-growth restaurant concepts working to build processes and capacity to expand their footprint. Bob has a passion for the restaurant industry and understands the unit economics and organizational capacity required for companies to grow. This experience also applies to other multi-location retail and service companies.
Before joining Ampleo in 2024, Bob worked for 33 years in the restaurant industry, including the past 17 years as a CFO. Companies he worked for include KFC (and YUM Brands), Café Rio Mexican Grill, Pieology Pizzeria, Benihana, and Checkers & Rally’s. Over his career, Bob has gained experience in strategic planning, FP&A, treasury, accounting, capital management, supply chain, operations, and restaurant development. Bob’s approach as a CFO has always been as a partner with the various company functions, to enable the best performance of the team to achieve the company’s goals and objectives.
