Daylen Bushman
COO

Daylen Bushman is an Operations Consultant at Ampleo and the Owner/Principal Consultant at Bushman Business Solutions (BBS) and the COO for Gozney. BBS provides business solution consulting for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies by reducing supply chain complexity through evaluation and assessment of end to end product life cycle, strategic network design, enhancement, process optimization, coaching, and mentoring. Creating solutions businesses require to establish processes and procedures that will ease operational struggles and provide best possible customer experience. Strategic implementation of operational enhancements with company determined active/passive oversight. Specialized solutions for all aspects of operational and supply chain functionalities.

Daylen is also the COO for Gozney, a UK based pizza oven manufacturer, overseeing the transition from a UK based ecomm business to a global ecomm and wholesale/retail business, including relationships with Ace, Home Depot, John Lewis (UK), and BBQ Galore (AU). His teams are directly responsible for Manufacturing (China/Global), Planning (Demand and Supply), Quality, Retail Operations, Logistics, Distribution, IT, Business Continuity, and Customer Experience. He directs various gross margin projects and tasks and has driven the company to their best gross margin percentages in company history through supplier negotiations and re-sourcing, quality improvements, process improvements, and overall scalability.

He also serves as COO/Board Member of Sunshine Buns, Salt by Sabrina, Board Member for Baileys Holdings, Advisory Member/Investor for CalTrimmer, Advisory Member of AndCollar, and Advisory Member of Dreamland Baby Co. He has consistently assisted companies in growing from $1m-10m in revenues and from $10m-$100m during his time as a consultant and fractional COO by maximizing manufacturing relationships and operations to create optimal outcomes in gross margin and capacity.

Daylen joined Traeger Pellet Grills in February of 2014, with the new CEO and COO, as the Vice President of Supply Chain, where he immediately began to build the Supply Chain from the ground up. He was primarily focused on managing the Customer Service, Warehouse and Distribution, Transportation and Logistics, Supply Planning, China Relations, and Pellet Mill Operations teams within Traeger. He also managed and maintained all Traeger supply chain related budgets.

Before joining Traeger, Daylen was the Vice President of Supply Chain for Goal Zero, a leader in the portable solar energy and power field. He transformed a low yield supply chain into a metric based, high quality driven department. He developed the quality metrics that were to be utilized in the manufacturing process in China as well as the forecasting tools to understand supply and demand. He was formerly the Director of Supply Chain at Skullcandy, a Utah based headphone manufacturer and assisted with the acquisition of Astro Gaming and the subsequent Skullcandy IPO. He previously ran the operations for Whole Living/Forever Green as Vice President of Operations, including responsibilities over manufacturing whole food products and nutritional drink powders, distribution, transportation, sourcing, and development.

Daylen was raised in Midland Texas (where he was a four-year football letterman) and graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications – Public Relations. He is also a certified Project Manager (CAPM), Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional, and Sig Sigma Champion Certified. He lives in Utah with his wife of 24 years and four children, three boys and a daughter. He enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, ATVs, most sporting activities, pickle ball, gardening, and hanging out with his family.
