Dave Chidester is a CFO at Amplēo with expertise in bringing financial visibility and strategic financial decision-making to an organization. This includes financial modeling and projections, management reporting, and capital-raising, and transactions (both acquisitions and/or exits). Dave’s experience has primarily been with high-growth companies in a building/start-up environment and has managed both public and private companies.
Before becoming a consultant at Amplēo in 2020, Dave worked as a public accounting, corporate controller, and CFO / Senior Vice President building, growing, and taking public a $1B+ revenue company, as well as growing a private company from $25M to $100M, which led to a $375M exit to a large public company. During that time, he was involved in raising over $400M of capital through public and private stock and debt offerings, negotiated credit facilities, and managed reporting processes. Dave has also worked for the past ten years as an investor in real estate and venture capital, where he gained broad experience in investing, finance, and deal structures. He is a current investor in various real-estate-related ventures and earlier-stage technology companies. Along with helping clients, Dave currently serves on the advisory board for the Accounting School at the University of Utah, as well as the national advisory board for UVU. He is also a board member at Neuroworx, a non-profit physical therapy clinic that focuses on neurological rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, stroke, or other neurological conditions.
