Christopher Vareika is a Fractional CFO at Amplēo, leveraging his 10 years of finance experience in both Fortune 500 companies and the venture world to assist small and midsize businesses with a wide range of transaction and corporate finance matters.
Before joining Amplēo in 2024, Christopher spent over 7 years at Ernst & Young in their Transaction Advisory Services department, working across both Europe and the United States. As part of the Transaction Diligence Team, he engaged in numerous projects, delivering Valuation, Business Modeling, and Financial Due Diligence services to a diverse array of clients and industries, including Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Financial Services, Technology, Real Estate, and Infrastructure.
In 2022, Christopher transitioned to the venture world, assuming the role of US Regional CFO for an ultrafast grocery delivery startup. In this position, he was responsible for all financial matters and successfully hired, managed, and led a finance team that handled FP&A, Reporting, Accounting, Tax, and Payroll efforts. He worked closely with the local General Manager, providing daily support on strategic decisions that significantly impacted revenue growth and profitability.
During his time in the startup environment, Christopher recognized the gap between the financial knowledge and support needs of small businesses and the resources available to address those needs. This realization led him to become a fractional CFO in 2024, leveraging his extensive corporate finance experience to assist companies seeking flexible, insightful, and impactful finance solutions.
When he’s not focused on finance matters, Christopher enjoys spending time with family and friends and training for his next running challenge!
