With over 20 years of business experience as a Consultant, CFO, Business Owner, and Division President; Patrick has a passion for creating and executing strategic business plans. He has worked in Consumer Products, Tech (SaaS, Software, PaaS), Real Estate (Development and Home Building), Construction, and Professional Services.
Patrick’s skills include sourcing and optimizing debt and equity financing; originating, performing due diligence, negotiating, and closing deals; financial analysis; forecasting; system implementations (ERP and CRM); sales and marketing; operations; strategy; people management (including culture building); and accounting.
Patrick has extensive experience in start-ups, starting new divisions, and turnarounds. As the tenth employee of a tech start-up and prior to the company’s acquisition, he played a key role in fueling growth from $600,000 to more than $6 million in annual revenues in two years. As CFO of a real estate development and home building company he helped grow the company from $30 million to $90 million in annual revenues. Patrick’s Management Consulting firm, Areté Devco, was hired by the largest company in the Philippines to turn-around a struggling 300 unit master-planned community that was in
disrepair and approaching bank foreclosure. He created a turnaround business plan, achieved stakeholder buy-in, and executed the plan – rescuing the project from insolvency and delighting the homeowners, bank, and project owners.
Patrick has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Accountancy degree (with an emphasis in Information Systems), both from Brigham Young University. He is a published author and is fluent in Spanish. Patrick and his wife Emily enjoy spending time cheering on each of their five children in their various activities.
