Lauren Farnsworth


Lauren has been working in various aspects of Finance for more than 15 years. She began her post-collegiate career in audit with Ernst & Young and has worked with small startups to Fortune 100 organizations, holding positions inclusive of CFO, Corporate Controller, Director, and Consultant. Her expertise ranges across multiple industries including financial services, construction, and consumer products and services.

Lauren’s leadership tenure has been focused on improving efficiency, precision, and clarity, with the understanding that business leaders can only make good strategic decisions when they have accurate, timely information presented in a way that is easy to comprehend. Her focus on effective upstream and downstream communication has been shown to have far-reaching impacts on company success.

Throughout her career, Lauren has maintained a focused pursuit of excellence and has gained expertise and proficiency in financial and strategic planning, cash management, leadership theory and development, private equity, financial forecasting and modeling, investor relations, technical accounting, financial reporting, software implementation, audit and tax management, information technology management, and human resources management.

Lauren obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Utah. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, and a former member of the University of Utah Young Alumni Board of Directors. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys creative writing, watching documentaries and foreign films (a fancy way of saying Bollywood and K-dramas), and spending as much time as possible with her husband and son.
